The Dow Jones ended at 10583.96, stronger by 155.91 points or 1.5%, the Nasdaq shut at 2308.42, higher by 39.27 points or 1.73% and the S&P closed at 1132.99, up 17.89 points or 1.6%.
The Indian ADRs ended strong. MTNL closed at $3.3, stronger by $0.2 or 7.4%, Tata Motors ended at $18, firmer by $1.1 or 6.9% and Sterlite ended at $19.3, up $1.1 or 6.1%.
Infosys closed at $56.7, up $1.4 or 2.7% and Satyam ended at $4.80, up $0.1 or 4.1%.
