Sensex ends down 108pts

The Sensex has finally ended (provisional) at 16,674 - down 108 points. - Sensex extends losses - Markets flat in noon trades - Sensex slips after brief recovery - Markets on the verge of breaking into green - F&O OUTLOOK: Nifty may breach 4,941 support - Nifty may breach 4,941 support The Nifty ended (provisional) at 4,955 - down 32 points. _________________________________ (Updated at 1457 hrs) The Sensex is quoting at 16,680, down 101 points and the Nifty is at 4954, lower by 32 points. Among the top losers, Tata Steel is down 2.7% to Rs 499, Hindalco is lower 2.3% to Rs 126 and ICICI Bank is weak 1.8% to Rs 844. The leading gainers are Sun Pharma (up 4.9% to Rs 1,285), Reliance Industries (up 1.7% to Rs 2,140) and ITC (up 1% to Rs 234). The market breeath is, however, positive, with 1576 advancing stocks as against 1138 declining stocks.
