Premier launches RiO in Hyd

Car maker Premier Limited (formerly Premier Automobiles Limited) re-entered the Indian passenger vehicle market with the launch of its compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) ‘Rio’ on Thursday. It plans to expand this network to 100 in the next six months,” Ramesh Tavhare, vice-president (corporate affairs) said in a press release today. The RiO will retail in three versions, with the basic model priced at around Rs 5.25 lakh and the deluxe model at Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). Initially, the RiO will be available in red, white, silver, black and blue colours. Premier will commence deliveries of RiO in December 2009, the release added.
